It is essential in these times that businesses are managed utilizing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategies. At SustainAgro we believe in ESG conscious decision making, which has guided us down this current path towards scalable GHG reduction.

These metrics encompass a multitude of ESG factors:

Environment

SustainAgro is focused on leadership in climate action. We intend to measure and mitigate the embedded carbon intensity of our entire operations. This includes from resource extraction to delivery to the final user.

SA is committed to fostering environmentally defensible, sustainable woodlot management. Our business model allows us to choose residual wood products, which would typically be waste, providing an incentive for woodlot managers to practice good silviculture. In this manner, we can maximize the carbon sequestration of the woodlot and maintain an active and viable ecosystem.

Social

It is our goal to positively impact the people and local economies bordering our operations, creating sustainable circular economies of scale. SA culture creates an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and respected – a place where everyone can be themselves and reach their potential while helping us achieve our business goals.

SA focuses on being innovative and productive so we can deliver the best products and services to our customers and we need diversity to help us achieve this. The more we collaborate and value differences the closer we get to living in a truly inclusive work environment.

Governance

Good corporate governance leads to ethical business practices, which leads to financial viability. SA will focus on accountability, transparency, fairness, responsibility, and risk management.
